To listen to some people, there’s no way the aging cruisers most police drive could ever catch someone fleeing in a Tesla. We haven’t seen many EV pursuits, but the few we have, including this one in Atlanta, suggest otherwise.
In the end, the supposedly outdated patrol car ran the electric sedan down. It goes to show that a quick getaway depends on far more than just having a high-tech, fast-accelerating vehicle.
