We’ve seen our fair share of brutal PIT maneuvers, but this one done by police in Moore, Oklahoma on a fleeing pickup truck is up there on the list. It’s the conclusion of a failed drug bust as the suspect took cops on a chase from Moore to southwest Oklahoma City.
Fleeing driver irate police had the nerve to PIT him out.
That pursuit, which happened on New Year’s Eve, started with undercover agents from Moore Police Department trying to get the suspect to agree to sell them fentanyl. However, the female suspect spots an unmarked cop car and concludes she’s being set up, police told local news station KFOR.
That’s when she used her Dodge Ram to lead police officers on the chase, which lasted for about eight minutes. We have the dashcam footage for you to watch yourself.
During the pursuit, the alleged drug dealer blows through red lights, swerves into the oncoming traffic lanes, and engages in other reckless behavior. Police had their hands full keeping up with her as she got onto Interstate 240, pushing the pickup truck to high speeds in an effort to lose them.
After exiting the interstate, she continues her reckless behavior, even driving over a median. Then she takes to the interstate again. Seeing an opportunity, the officer leading the pursuit performs a beautiful PIT maneuver on the Ram truck.
The pickup spins toward the solid concrete median barrier, hitting it at just the right angle, sending the front end up into the air as the rear rotates, the pickup landing on the driver’s side and skidding before bouncing back onto its tires. The suspect could no longer push the battered truck to get away if she wanted.
After being checked over at a hospital, it was determined the suspect didn’t suffer any serious injuries. Police also discovered she had multiple warrants from different law enforcement agencies in the state.
