A man in Kansas City, Missouri has been honored after his tip helped with the recovery of a stolen 1970 Chevelle. The classic muscle car was supposed to be sold and the proceeds given to charity, but some suspects decided to help themselves to it and a 1970 Camaro as well.

GM drops a hint about an all-electric Corvette.

How Larry Little was able to help authorities recover the Chevelle is nothing less than miraculous. He told Fox4 when he saw those two muscle cars had been stolen from City Union Mission, he prayed to God to ask that he could help find the Chevelle.

And that’s exactly what happened the next day. As Little was going to his dad’s house, he saw the distinct muscle car on a trailer, a tarp thrown over it. While others didn’t recognize the stolen ride, he did, so he followed behind the trailer and called 911, relaying the information to police.

But the suspects towing the Chevelle spotted him following, stopped, got out of their truck, and demanded to know what Little was up to. The man was frank, telling them he was on the phone with the cops right then.

Wasting no time, the men decoupled the trailer from their truck and drove away in a hurry. When police arrived, they were able to secure the stolen Chevelle and eventually get it back to City Union Mission, which sold it and has used the proceeds to benefit the community.

Sadly, the Camaro was never recovered.

Then City Union Mission learned why Little wanted to help recover the stolen Chevelle. When he was younger, he and his dad were restoring an old dirt bike but a thief took it, breaking the man’s heart. So to honor Little, the charity held a ceremony where they presented him with a plaque, then they wheeled out a similar bike to the one he lost years ago as a thank you.

We love stories like this because Little just wanted to do the right thing. He wasn’t looking for a reward, but he got one anyway.
