Usually, we see motorcycle cops out enforcing speed limits and other traffic violations. But in the included bodycam footage we have one successfully chasing down and arresting a suspect in a stolen Ford F-150. The two vehicles seem like a bit of a mismatch, so you’re forgiven if you can’t understand how a police officer on a bike can handle a full-size pickup truck.

Road rager pulls out a hammer and attacks another car.

The incident started in Little Rock, Arkansas when a police plate reader got a hit on the Ford, which had been reported stolen. Another motorcycle cop and one in a Ford Explorer are on the scene at the same time, but the one whose bodycam footage we have takes the lead in the pursuit.

While it’s funny to think the suspect is scared of a guy on a much smaller vehicle, the reality is the officer is more of a threat than some might think. After all, he’s armed and can use his weapon if the suspect tries doing harm with the stolen truck.

Vehicles can be considered deadly weapons when wielded that way. Plus, the officer has backup right behind him and more police are flocking to the area to stop the suspect. Taking out a cop is a good way to catch a bullet, so this guy is smart to not throw the truck’s weight around.

Instead, he tries to outrun and outmaneuver the motorcycle and that predictably doesn’t go so well. An F-150 isn’t exactly a road-carving machine with explosive acceleration, so the motorcycle cop stays up no problem.

The only play the suspect has is to take the truck off-roading, but there aren’t exactly trails in the middle of Little Rock. He eventually cuts across a freeway median with the help of an ASP Dodge Charger, but we don’t think he meant to do that.
