Police and rescue teams responded to the crash around 1:30 a.m. on Singhawat Road, near the Krua Look Sao Kung Kaew restaurant. Officers discovered the heavily damaged green Lamborghini near an electricity pole. The driver was missing, despite leaving behind his identification card, cash totaling tens of thousands of baht, and other personal items.

Authorities later identified the driver as a local businessman, though his name has not been publicly disclosed. Reports indicate he has a history of high-profile crashes, including a similar incident last year involving a Porsche.

The pickup truck collided with the restaurant’s structure upon impact. The driver, a 32-year-old man, suffered facial and shoulder injuries and had to be extricated by emergency responders before being transported to a hospital.

A restaurant worker, 60-year-old Thongpoon, told police she was awakened by the crash and saw the Lamborghini driver exit his vehicle without checking on the injured man. The driver then fled the scene in another vehicle.
