An attack launched on a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas, which involved the firebombing of cars, has resulted in the arrest of the suspected culprit. Local police teamed up with the FBI to identify and track down the man, who’s facing a long list of charges both locally and from the feds.

Stellantis is buying out assembly line workers.

The man, 36-year-old Paul Kim, is accused of driving his Hyundai Elantra to the location, shooting out surveillance cameras from a distance using a rifle, firebombing three cars using Molotov cocktails, then spray painting “RESIST” on the exterior of the building.

Authorities at first only had grainy security footage to work with. Considering the man in the videos was wearing a mask and all black, plus his car is black, it was hard to make out details. However, it sounds like investigators finally were able to get the Hyundai’s tags from somewhere, and that blew the case wide open.

Putting Kim on 24/7 surveillance, police were able to not only arrest him but also gather a mountain of physical evidence. They claim to have in their possession several of Kim’s guns, a gun belt with pin paint residue like what was used to graffiti the Tesla Collision Center, plus a black backpack with pink spray paint, masks, and clothing matching what the suspect wore in the video.

Even better, they apparently found DNA evidence linking Kim with the scene of the crime. He’s facing several felony charges from Las Vegas Metro Police Department, including arson and weapons offenses.

A Fox News report says the FBI agent in charge of the bureau’s Las Vegas office told reporters Kim will be facing federal criminal charges. What those are and how many there will be remains to be seen.

This is one of the latest development in the ongoing trend of people attacking parked Teslas as well as Tesla Stores and Tesla Service Centers for political reasons. As Kim and others face prosecution for their crimes, that could help stem the wave of violence.
