Mercedes-Benz Reveals Concept Minivan Limousine

Mercedes-Benz, a brand associated with some of the most luxurious volume production vehicles in the world, just revealed its latest concept that’s a minivan limousine. While some might think that’s a joke, we can guarantee the Germans are dead serious about targeting that market segment.

Kia is monetizing people’s lack of an attention span.

We wouldn’t expect to see these plush minivans cruising around streets here in the US, but we could be wrong about that. However, we do anticpate these will target the Pacific Rim market, where Lexus and others already have high-end minivans.

While minivans here in the US have a soccer mom image nobody wants to see past, in other parts of the world people realize minivans offer amenities you can’t get in a sedan or SUV.

That includes the ultra-wealthy who want plenty of space, plus a limousine that’s easy to enter and exit.

This new concept called the Mercedes-Benz Vision V might look ridiculous from the exterior, but the interior is incredibly plush. First of all, the sliding door is automatic, so you don’t even have to touch the handle.

Two reclining chairs transport the elite in the lap of luxury. Plus, there’s a glass wall between the passengers and driver, which can be changed from transparent to opaque entirely or in sections.

As you change the seat positions, the center console moves as well, giving you access without discomfort. Not only is a touchpad for controlling everything housed in the console, so is a fold-out table that looks like a chess board.

But we get it, the thought of a luxury minivan, especially for just two passengers, seems ridiculous. In all honesty it is, but this is how the rich and powerful in some parts of the world prefer to get around.
