Broken Down Cybertruck Mocked By Children

Anyone who’s owned an obviously cool car knows the feeling of children admiring your ride, something a Cybertruck owner claims happened at his son’s baseball game. But that didn’t last long after his pricey all-electric pickup broke down and had to be towed away, all thanks to a problem with the frunk.

Study claims giving your old car to your kid could be deadly.

The guy posted about his ordeal in a Tesla Cybertruck owners group on Facebook, saying he’s so angry about the incident he’s about ready to abuse the EV “whistling diesel (sic) style” referring to how the famous car YouTuber trashed his own showing how it’s a real truck.

According to the guy, he was able to drive to his son’s little league game no problem. However, after accessing baseball equipment from the frunk, which apparently has always had problems with alignment on the latch, the pickup went into limp mode.

Unable to drive it more than 15 mph, the guy had to call Tesla for help. That apparently involved resetting the screens and doing some power shutdown cycles, which sounds more like what you do when your phone starts acting up.

Finally, it was determined the problem was the frunk was misaligned, something which was an issue from day one of ownership, says the guy. We believe it, considering the build quality issues we have seen with Teslas for well over a decade now.

Apparently, the guy hit up Tesla before for the alignment issue and the frunk hingers as well as the actuators were replaced in summer 2024. But at some point, we’re not sure if it was last year or this, the frunk alignment issue resulted in the frunk lid breaking one of the headlights – that’s some high quality engineering there.

The Cybertruck owner apparently thought the frunk problems were annoying but didn’t imagine it would “become a drivable issue” like it did. All the little baseball players were there to mock and jeer as the expensive, industrial refrigerator-like truck was towed away disgracefully. And that seemed to hurt the owner the most.

Why does this guy care so much about what children think? That’s the real question here.
