Ford Bronco Recall Is Hilariously Tiny

Ford has been plagued with all kinds of large, rather scary safety recalls lately, so to see an absolutely tiny recall of the new Bronco honestly made us laugh. Sure, the potential for a front lower control arm to detach from the off-roader’s frame at speed sounds scary enough to conjure up a scene from the Final Destination movie series, but your odds of that happening are pretty slim.

Ram has delayed its electric trucks, again.

The control arm problem apparently began during the manufacturing process, according to the recall notice filed through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. After a wheel alignment issue was detected on some SUVs and corrected, for an unexplained reason they weren’t screened through quality control.

As a result, not all of the bolts were verified to be torqued to spec. That’s not something you want to leave to chance.

There’s a “Do Not Drive Warning” on the effected Broncos for obvious reasons. Let’s just say crashing would probably be in your future would your car do this.

But there would be warning signs: rattling, clanking, or other noises and or worsening handling. The Bronco could also make a popping sound when you turn the steering wheel to full lock. One would hope those sorts of things would lead anyone to take their vehicle into the shop.

In total, four 2024 to 2025 Ford Broncos have been identified as possibly having front lower control arm bolts not properly torqued to spec. One was already fixed when an owner noticed something was wrong and took the vehicle to a dealer for inspection, which led to what’s one of the tiniest safety recalls ever.

That means only three others need to be inspected to ensure there’s no problem. Ford is reaching out to those owners, which we would anticipate is going to take no time at all. It’s nice to see the Blue Oval have a rather easy safety recall for a change.
