An alleged member of a criminal gang called the Kia Hyundai Boyz was recently arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona. We guess the gang is kind of like the Kia Boyz, a group of car thieves, because this guy was allegedly getting out of a stolen car when police collared him.

Ford says California attorneys bilked it out of millions of dollars.

According to a report from Fox 10 Phoenix, 18-year-old Jashwa Hicks was tracked by police on May 16 and arrested. When questioned, he allegedly told police he wouldn’t stop stealing cars. That might seem like a dumb thing to admit, but in far too many jurisdictions, prosecutors and judges go lightly on car thieves.

We’re guessing Hicks has had other brushes with the law and learned from those the justice system is a joke.

Police say Hicks, along with several other people who are part of the Kia Hyundai Boyz, have made it a habit to steal Kias, Hyundais, and high-end cars throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. Over the past couple of years, authorities believe the gang has stolen over $800,000 worth of vehicles.

We’ve heard of the Kia Boyz, a group of juvenile car thieves which started in Milwaukee. They spread their method of stealing Kias and Hyundais through social media, eventually resulting in the “Kia Challenge” on TikTok which taught so many young miscreants how to boost cars using a screwdriver and USB charging cable.

Like the Wisconsin group, the Kia Hyundai Boyz not only like the steal cars but also to have fun in the stolen rides. They’ll take them to do street takeovers, ripping donuts on public roads and doing other dangerous stunts which no doubt also damage the cars. Investigators say they also carry guns and we doubt they’re practicing safe handling skills.

Hopefully Hicks faces some real consequences for his behavior. Far too many kids are stealing cars because they believe nothing bad will happen to them.
