A skid steer operator deliberately used the construction machine to attack multiple parked vehicles in a targeted rampage that caused extensive property damage before law enforcement could intervene and stop the equipment.
Skid steer loaders weigh several thousand pounds and are designed to move dirt and materials with considerable force. Used deliberately against vehicles, one can cause catastrophic damage in a very short period, as the operator demonstrated before being apprehended.
The motive for the attack was under investigation. Incidents of this type — using heavy equipment as a weapon against property — are most frequently connected to workplace disputes, personal grievances, or severe behavioral health crises.
