Bizarre things are happening in Scottsdale, Arizona after a man in a “military-style” SUV rear-ended a parked cop car. This isn’t the sort of news we’re used to running across. But even worse, the report we found leaves us with more questions than answers.

Thieves steal cats from two dozen school buses.

That report comes via Fox 10 in Phoenix. What we know is on the morning of August 29, at about 4:30 am, a Scottsdale Police Department vehicle, a Ford Explorer to be exact, was parked new Hayden and Thomas Roads. One officer was sitting inside.

A driving the unidentified SUV which apparently looks like something the military would have rear-ended the police cruiser.

While the cop suffered minor injuries, the other driver was hurt badly enough to be hospitalized. In other words, the SUV looked tough but really wasn’t, because those Explorers aren’t exactly tanks.

Obviously, our first question is what was the other guy driving? Was it a modified Jeep. An Apocalypse Industries build? Maybe a JDM import police didn’t recognize? We feel like it could be any number of things, just not something that’s armored and durable or the driver wouldn’t have been injured.

The next question we have is was the cop parked in the middle of the road? Off to the side? In a parking lot? That wasn’t even addressed. Did he have his emergency lights on? Any lights on? Those make a difference so other drivers see and don’t hit the vehicle.

There’s no mention of intoxication in the report, but do police suspect that’s a factor? That early on a weekday morning it’s not as likely, but that sort of thing does happen. Usually that’s mentioned in these reports, so it’s weird there’s zero mention of it.
