Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, was recently in a car crash after stopping to help a domestic violence victim. We guess this is a case of no good deed going unpunished, a sad reality that sometimes plays out in life.
Law protecting classic cars in California is dead.
According to an official statement, Giuliani was traveling on the highway in New Hampshire on August 30 when he was flagged down by a woman who had allegedly been victimized in a domestic violence incident.
Immediately, Giuliani helped with what he could, calling 911 and waiting until police showed up on the scene.
After that, he took off down the highway and was rear-ended by another vehicle going at a “high speed.” Exactly how fast Giuliani and the other vehicle were going at the time of the crash isn’t clear.
However, what is known is Giuliani suffered a fractured thoracic vertebrae, unspecified injuries to his left arm and lower leg, plus multiple lacerations and contusions. While that sounds horrible, his spokesman, Michael Ragusa, says the man “is in good spirits and recovering tremendously.” That’s phenomenal considering he’s 81.
Many people, upon hearing about the crash, openly wondered if the person who attacked the woman then rammed Giuliani’s car. After all, some who commit acts of domestic violence will turn their wrath on those who help the victim.
However, Ragusa said that wasn’t the case. Instead, he said it was just some random other car and that’s all the info he’s supplying. He did ask that people stop “spreading unfounded conspiracy theories” about what happened.
Surely the crash is under investigation by authorities, so certain pieces of information are being kept under wraps while that process is ongoing.
