These Car Repossessions Are Truly Wild

Estimated read time 3 min read

With rough economic times fast approaching and car repossessions on the rise, plenty of craziness will follow. Sure, some people let their car go without a fight, then there are these people. Check out these explosive car repossessions as people desperately try to hold onto the ride they no longer can afford.

In this first clip we see a guy drive “his” Dodge Challenger right off the tow truck’s boom. The repo guy obviously was trying to get out of there before the Mopar driver got there, but by not securing the muscle car this became the one that got away.

This person’s effort to try getting their rear-wheel-drive Chevy Impala off a repo truck’s boom is even more impressive since it’s lifted far higher in the air. If only this individual showed this kind of determination to come up with the money to keep up on the payments.

This person thought driving “his” BMW off the repo guy’s truck would fix everything. Instead, he ripped the front bumper off and probably did more damage. Considering it’s the bank’s Bimmer and he just keeps driving it, maybe the guy doesn’t care.

Some people live in a fantasy land, like this person who appears to be car shopping in the vehicle they haven’t been making payments on. Were they going to try trading it in or were they hoping to get a loan on another vehicle? We don’t know, but the repo guy sure thinks it’s funny.

This car was repossessed at Carrabba’s because nothing says “financial responsibility” quite like not paying for your vehicle while going out to eat at a fairly expensive restaurant.

And here we have a sneaky repo agent who was able to back up over a lawn and hook up to this rather nice Chevy Silverado in a flash. Instead of just facing reality, the “owner” tried removing the back wheels, forcing the repo man to trash the lawn and load the truck onto a rollback. Brilliant.

Some people treat repo men like car thieves when in fact the bank technically owns the vehicle they’re not making payments on. That attitude leads to people acting like entitled Karens, going ballistic and thinking they can use whatever force necessary to stop the “theft.” As the guy says at the end of the video, “ridiculous.”

While most people just try driving “their” vehicle off the boom of the repo truck, denying the consequences of their actions, this guy with a Dodge Charger decided to pull a shotgun on the repo man. That led to an hours-long standoff with the local police SWAT team. Not smart at all.
