In a remarkable stroke of luck, no one was seriously injured when a semi-truck crushed a C7 Corvette in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. Judging by the photos of the wreckage, the outcome could easily have been far worse.
Collisions between massive trucks and low-slung sports cars rarely leave much hope for the smaller vehicle. That everyone walked away is a fortunate exception, and a vivid reminder of the dangers of sharing the road with heavy commercial traffic.
