An Alabama driver reported a car’s open hatch jutting from a river in January 2021, which turned out to be a 1974 Ford Pinto submerged since 1976. The car belonged to Kyle Clinkscales, a college student whose disappearance has long remained a mystery.
The discovery offered a possible break in a decades-old missing person case. Even so, definitive answers may never come, leaving the family of the long-missing student with lingering questions despite the recovery of his car.
