It is impossible to count the number of submerged car discoveries reported over the years, and anecdotally, a strikingly large share seem to come from Florida. The pattern leads to a half-serious question of whether the state’s lakes are simply packed with abandoned vehicles.
Whether due to crime, accidents, or insurance schemes, Florida keeps producing these underwater finds. While the observation is hardly scientific, the steady stream of stories does make one wonder just how many cars lie hidden beneath the state’s waters.
