We have always found the Ford Escape’s name a touch ironic, and one driver in New York City decided to put it to the test in a daring bid to flee police. The chaotic scene, captured by a bystander on his phone, unfolded in the Bronx.
Despite the fitting nameplate, the Escape proved no better at evading capture than any other vehicle. The attempt joined the endless stream of failed getaways, this one made slightly more memorable by the irony of the car involved.
