We ran across this Shelby Cobra 427/SC made by Kirkham Motorsports up for auction right now and it’s absolutely gorgeous. While it packs some serious performance – more on that later – it just looks amazing. This is a vehicle which will turn a lot of heads, especially at any gearhead gathering.
BMW is going to start selling cars made of flax fibers.
There’re very little brightwork on it, just on the light bezels and windshield frame, so those really pop against the black. The roll hoop is black, so are the side exhausts and the knock-off wheels. Plus, there are silver billets on the hood which are subtle but add something more to the appearance.

The interior is also black with leather seats, steering wheel, and dash pad. There are plenty of great features onboard, like latch-and-link belts, sun visors, digital odometer, a fire suppression system, and a power cutoff switch.
But the real star of the show is the Shelby 427ci V8. While any of these are impressive, the seller says this one has been stroked to increase displacement to 511ci. Plus, there are twin Paxton superchargers force feeding the dual four-barrel carburetors.

We don’t know how much power this setup is making, but it has to be pretty impressive. Considering the Shelby Cobras are lightweight, we’re sure this thing will scoot down the road in a hurry.
To help keep that monster powertrain running cool, there’s an aluminum radiator and electric fan.
You get to enjoy snappy gear shifts via the Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission outfitted with Liberty gears. There’s also an Eaton Detroit Truetrac differential with 3.54:1 gearing.

This is one special ride, which is why on Bring A Trailer it’s sitting with a top bid of $150,000 at the time this was written. We imagine by the time the auction ends in about three days that amount will be significantly higher.
