DUI checkpoints make anyone who’s been drinking panic, while sober drivers find them merely annoying. But a Dodge Charger driver in Albuquerque chose not to risk a breathalyzer, instead blowing right through the checkpoint in a wild scene caught on video.
Fleeing a checkpoint turns a potential DUI into a far more serious situation. The reckless decision endangered officers and others while all but guaranteeing the driver would face much steeper consequences than a sobriety test.
If you’re sober and such, the checkpoints are annoying but that’s it….. Let’s not mention that checkpoints are a violation of our 4th amendment constitutional rights.
