Dodge Charger With Deer In Grille Seen Driving In Philadelphia

Estimated read time 2 min read

An Instagram user uploaded video of a Dodge Charger with a dead deer caught in its grille just driving around the streets of Philadelphia. Naturally, since that’s a bizarre sight, people are flocking to the video.

Watch police rescue a kidnapped woman after an intense chase.

The account that uploaded the footage, enterprizesportsphilly, included the caption “I don’t think he know… (sic)” as if the other driver had no idea he had hit a deer which was stuck in the front of the car. Somehow, we doubt that.

Anyone who’s ever had the misfortune of hitting a deer with their vehicle has learned firsthand that it’s not something you just brush off. Even if your car takes the blow with minimal damage, like this Charger did, you’re going to feel the collision. There’s no way anyone lucid would miss that.

What’s more, there’s steam or smoke rising from the grille/engine compartment area from the front of the car. Perhaps the deer carcass is starting to burn or, even more likely, leaking coolant is vaporizing. Whatever it is, there’s no way the driver doesn’t notice that, either.

We’ve seen some distracted drivers lately, but this would take things to the next level.

A more likely explanation is the driver is trying to get to a shop or someone’s house for help. Perhaps they know nothing about cars, are scared about what to do with the deer, and they have no idea that tow trucks are a thing. Being young and inexperienced often leads to making these types of foolish decisions.

Of course, there’s also the strong possibility the driver is under the influence and so doesn’t even understand what happened. If so, it’s sad commentary on how bad the DUI situation has become in this country.

Any way you cut it, this situation is weird. Check out the video for yourself, but be warned there is some NSFW language in it.
