One disturbing trend amid rising car thefts is criminals targeting dealerships. While a few brazenly take vehicles in broad daylight, most break in at night and grab whatever they want. A Tennessee dealer was hit, losing a C8 Corvette Z06 and two other vehicles.
The overnight raids continue to plague dealers and frustrate police. The theft of a rare, high-performance Corvette underscores how these crews target the most valuable inventory, piling pressure on dealers to bolster security.
