Shooting Suspect In Blackout Charger Scat Pack Gets Crazy With Michigan Troopers

Estimated read time 3 min read

A violent offender, Dodge Charger Scat Pack, high speeds on city streets, and blacking out: this police chase video has it all. Michigan State Police have their hands full with this Mopar muscle car as the suspect flees through Flint going breakneck speeds with plenty of close calls.

Watch a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack roast police in Georgia.

The chase started after a call came out over the radio describing the Scat Pack being driven by the suspected shooter. Two troopers in a single Dodge Charger cruiser spotted the muscle car going the other way, flipped around, and began pursuing.

Our suspect went hard from the get-go, not even bothering to fake stopping or anything dumb like that.

We were half expecting him to shoot at MSP, but instead he just flogs the Scat Pack hard while keeping the lights shut off. The only time you can clearly see the Dodge when it gaps the cruiser is when the suspect hits the brakes.

Normally, blacking out in a white car isn’t all that effective. But wouldn’t you know Flint, Michigan doesn’t have as many streetlights as some other cities, so it kind of works.

The guy just blows through stop signs and red lights alike, taking plenty of turns to try losing the troopers. But the trooper who’s driving does a great job of keeping up despite having the slower Charger.

We know a lot of criminals think taking lots of turns fast is how they’ll lose cops chasing them. That would work if they knew how to get through those turns quickly. Instead, this guy is at the high end of the aptitude curve for most suspects, and he can’t shake the troopers because they stick the turns so much better.

The skill gap returns one pretty good PIT, but the suspect just floors if and goes the opposite direction. By that point there are more cops swarming the area. But our camera car takes the lead once more, does a much more brutal PIT, and the suspect takes off through a grassy area by a freeway on-ramp.

That’s a dumb move because such a muscle car can’t really off-road with anything, so the guy gets stuck and ditches the car, with police running him down to make the arrest.
