It might sound trivial until you witness their destructive power, but runaway vehicle tires can be deadly. Thankfully, one that came off a vehicle traveling southbound on US 19 in Florida, bouncing over the median into a northbound car, didn’t claim a life.
The near miss could easily have ended in tragedy given the force involved. It’s a startling reminder of why proper wheel maintenance matters so much.
