At first glance when we saw this C7 Corvette, we thought for sure it had been in a front-end collision. After all, most of the front end is missing, plus there are scrapes and damage down the driver’s rear quarter panel. But the person selling this claims it has a clean title and we have so many questions.
Toyota’s CEO wants to see more fun cars on the road.
There are no pictures of the passenger’s side of this 2016 Chevy Corvette, so if we were even remotely interested in this ride, we’d want to see that. The fact such a photo isn’t included makes us a little suspicious.

Really looking at the pictures, we can’t see any twisted metal or broken body panels, so here’s no clear evidence of a crash. But we also can’t tell if all the removed components from the front are present since we only get two random photos showing a few of the removed parts.
We can see in one shot the transmission is still in place, so at least there’s that.
What really concerns us is here’s a big impact crack in the windshield and it’s high on the passenger side. Did the sports car hit something on that side? Is that whey there are no photos of the passenger side?

You can get into a crash and keep that information from your insurance provider, fix it yourself so it never appears on Carfax, and “beat the system.” But the state of this C7 Corvette makes us wonder if this was some illegal street racing crash or something else questionable.
Since there is almost no information in the ad, just that this ride doesn’t need an inspection “to put back on road” we’re left guessing. Surely that’s why the seller is letting this vehicle go for just $15,000. Still, we’d have a lot of questions and be doing our homework before pulling the trigger on what’s obviously a project car with a questionable past.
