Female Motorcyclist Falls 80 Feet Off Highway, Motorcycle Stolen

In a horrific freak accident, a 19-year-old female motorcyclist fell off a highway on-ramp in Phoenix, Arizona recently. Sadly, Annabel Force didn’t survive the 80-foot fall. But adding insult to injury for the young woman’s family, her motorcycle was stolen by a passerby.

Force was riding her motorcycle on eastbound Interstate 10 on the June 8 at about 7:05 pm when she took the southbound Interstate 17 on-ramp. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, for an unknown reason she lost control, hitting the median wall, reports Fox 10.

She was launched over the wall, which took her life. The motorcycle she was riding was gone without a trace.

We assume the bike was left on the on-ramp, so it’s possible someone just saw it lying on the shoulder and decided to help themselves, not realizing the owner was dead 80 feet below.

Details about the investigation are few and understandably so. We don’t know if skid marks were observed at the scene or if there was other physical evidence.

It’s possible Force was either hit or run off the road by a driver. We don’t know how experienced of a rider she was, so it’s possible she just hit some loose gravel or made an error which led to her losing control of the motorcycle.

This awful situation is a good reminder to anyone who’s out riding in the summer heat to stay defensive. If you haven’t received professional instruction on how to ride safely, there’s zero shame in taking a course or a few.

A lot of motorcycle riders learned from their dad, brother, friend, etc. and so have limited skills. Sadly, that can cost your life.

Arizona DPS is asking that anyone who might know anything about Annabel Force’s death or the whereabouts of her motorcycle would step forward to help with the investigation. We think her family would appreciate the closure.
