Ram truck drivers are notoriously aggressive to the point of being dumb, so we’re not shocked to see one tried taking on the ocean. Captured on video is a big Ram 3500 which was being driven by the owner on the beach in Brazoria County, Texas when the heavy beast became stuck on the beach.
Ram drivers have been shown to be some of the worst on the road: study.
Then high tide came and the massive pickup looked more like a beached whale getting tossed around by the waves. It’s a comical sight we find even more hilarious considering how many times we’ve seen these trucks tailgating us and others as we’re going 20 over the limit in the left lane, actively passing other cars, yet that still isn’t good enough.
If you’re a Ram truck owner and are offended by that, you are in fact the problem. It’s time for some self-reflection.
As far as this truck, the owner called a group of off-road recovery “specialists” but they’re just a bunch of guys who like to go wheeling. While their intentions are good, they seem to be in way over their heads with this tricky situation.
Fortunately, the guy who was filming this is a tow truck driver who has plenty of experience doing challenging recoveries like this one. He’s able to figure things out as one guy struggles to learn how his winch works.
Expertly, the tow truck driver backs his much heavier rollback across the sandy beach and into the surf partway without getting stuck. That might seem like a foolish thing to do, and for a regular person it is, but he knows exactly what he’s doing.
While the Ram 3500 is finally recovered after bobbing around in saltwater for a while, we can almost guarantee it will be deemed a total loss by the insurance company. Hopefully the driver learned a bit of humility and he’ll think twice before tailgating someone on the highway.
