Fire-Damaged 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Headed to Oklahoma City Auction

A 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing that was heavily damaged in a fire is set to cross the auction block in Oklahoma City, listed for sale on IAAI as little more than a burned-out shell of Cadillac’s flagship performance sedan.

Extent of the Damage

Nearly every exterior component of the vehicle shows fire damage, with melted headlights, grille, mirror caps, taillights, and trim pieces. The paint has burned away entirely, exposing warped and discolored body panels, while the windows are blackened from smoke exposure. The interior is similarly damaged, with the cabin described as fully charred and beyond salvage.

Title and Condition Status

According to the auction listing, the vehicle carries a junk title in Oklahoma, meaning it cannot legally be driven on public roads. It is also listed as non-running, and the odometer reading is considered irrelevant given the extent of the damage.

What the Car Was Before the Fire

Prior to the fire, the CT5-V Blackwing ranked among the most powerful production sedans available, powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque. The car was capable of a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 200 mph.

Value and Auction Outlook

While the vehicle’s current value is a small fraction of its original $95,595 MSRP, the listing notes an estimated pre-loss cash value slightly above $100,000. The vehicle will be sold in its current condition at a future IAAI auction, though restoring it to running condition would likely cost more than the car would be worth afterward.
