Typically when an officer chases a powerful muscle car like a Dodge Charger Scat Pack, it doesn’t end well for the cop, since the car usually outguns the patrol vehicle unless the suspect drives poorly. This time, however, an Arkansas trooper brought the fleeing Scat Pack down.
Skill and training can overcome a horsepower disadvantage during a pursuit. The trooper’s successful takedown showed that raw power isn’t always enough for a suspect to escape a well-executed response.
