If you’ve ever driven just about anywhere, you know Dodge Ram drivers can be annoyingly aggressive on the road. That’s why it’s just not surprising to see a suspect in one fleeing police behave like nothing can stop him. But an Arkansas trooper teaches one Ram driver his truck isn’t too big to push around.

Arkansas State Police are called in to assist a local department with stopping the fleeing pickup. For the first minute or so of the dashcam footage, the trooper is driving over medians and weaving around, trying to get into position.
But it seems like he’s almost going in circles. When the Dodge Ram comes into frame, you immediately see why as the truck blasts over a grassy gore point and takes off like a bat out of hell.
We’ve seen before as suspects in Rams try leveraging the rugged, off-road capabilities of their truck in a police chase. What they seem to not understand is pursuit rated cars like what ASP use can also cut across medians and such without issue – they’re designed for that.
In other words, his tactic doesn’t slow down the trooper one bit. As they get back on the pavement, the gap between the predator and prey narrows rapidly. For once, it’s admittedly kind of funny to see a Ram get tailgated by a car instead of the other way around.
Our suspect tries the brilliant move of brake checking the trooper, but he does it wrong. The only thing that results from the maneuver is the trooper gets alongside the truck, then begins a low-speed, long PIT.
The pickup’s rear bumper deforms, catching onto the ASP cruiser’s push bar, ensuring as hard as the suspect pushes the accelerator, he can’t get away until he suddenly does and the Ram careens off the shoulder and into a fence, ending the chase.
