Several automotive outlets have gushed over a set of Ford Mustang concepts created by international students, but frankly the designs leave a lot to be desired. While the students may not fully grasp what America’s pony car represents, the enthusiastic coverage is harder to excuse.
Capturing the Mustang’s essence requires an understanding of its heritage and attitude. These concepts miss that mark, and the uncritical praise heaped on them overlooks just how far they stray from the spirit of the iconic muscle car.
