Ram Confirms TRX Revival and a Second SRT Truck Coming in 2026

Ram confirmed plans to bring back the Ram 1500 TRX and introduce a second SRT-badged performance truck during Stellantis’ Q3 2025 earnings call, signaling a renewed commitment to gas-powered performance trucks.

What’s Powering the Returning TRX

The revived 2026 TRX will retain its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI Hellcat V8, producing 702 horsepower, paired with the existing 8HP95 TorqueFlite transmission. Ram is adding its newer Atlantis electrical architecture to support additional technology features without changing the truck’s core performance character.

Styling and Interior Updates

Exterior styling for the 2026 TRX is expected to draw influence from the RHO trim, including updated LED lighting, a larger hood scoop, and aerodynamic elements intended to serve a functional purpose rather than purely cosmetic styling. Inside, the truck is expected to feature a 14.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display, and upgraded seating with massage functionality. A 37-inch tire package may also become available as an option later in the truck’s production run.

A Second SRT Truck May Be Coming

Industry sources suggest Ram may also introduce a HEMI-powered variant of the Ram 1500 RHO, aimed at buyers who prefer a traditional V8 over the RHO’s current turbocharged inline-six setup.

Doubling Down on Gas-Powered Performance

At a time when much of the industry is prioritizing electrification, Ram’s decision to expand its gas-powered performance truck lineup represents a deliberate bet that demand for traditional V8 performance trucks remains strong heading into 2026.
